Women for Gun Rights Sponsor National Train a Teacher Day, Re-Affirm Commitment to Firearms Education and Training

(TRENTON, NJ) — Women for Gun Rights (WGR) will once again sponsor and participate in National Train a Teacher Day (NTATD) on Saturday, June 22, 2024. This annual, nationwide training, is designed to equip educators across the country so they are safe and prepared for emergency situations.

“At Women for Gun Rights, we believe in the power of education and training,” said Dianna Muller, Founder of the Women for Gun Rights. “We’re honored to once again sponsor the 7th annual “National Train a Teacher Day”, which is instrumental in keeping our students, teachers, and administrators safe.”

“National Train a Teacher Day” will feature a comprehensive curriculum designed to address various aspects of personal safety and emergency response. Topics will include situational awareness, basic self-defense techniques, and firearm safety. These training sessions are conducted by certified instructors and are available at no cost to participants.

“Through our sponsorship, we hope to empower educators to be their own first responder,” continued Muller. “National Train a Teacher Day is an invaluable initiative, and we are proud to contribute to its mission.”

Massachusetts State Director Kerrie Ann Auclair, New Hampshire State Director Kate Giddins, and others from Women for Gun Rights will lead sessions in their respective states. Educators from across the country are encouraged to participate.

Registration is open, and more information about the event, including training locations and schedules, can be found on the NTATD website.
